OPUS/Online Purchasing System™ is a simple facility to consolidate individual purchase orders of small to medium-sized retailers which primary objective is to create bulk purchases to gain substantial discounts from accredited suppliers. By combining regular inventory needs, OPUS makes it possible for small retailers to enjoy higher discounts, which effectively translates to higher margins and reduced prices to the end consumers.

On the other hand, OPUS allows suppliers to get maximum orders among a defined group of retailers through an internet-based ordering system that makes order preparation and distribution more cost efficient. It can also be deployed in a m ulti-branch company requiring a centralized purchasing system. It provides a cost-efficient way of transferring information from each branch to main office to have a consolidated order for the supplier.

OPUS is a "real time" system that links retailers to the suppliers. Its primary feature is to provide an easy method of putting an order to the supplier thru the internet. While this is being facilitated, OPUS consolidates the individual orders of a group of retailers and by combining these orders, this group can avail of additional volume discounts for their purchases. Take note that more volume means more discounts that is why a group of more individual retailers may realize more discounts than a smaller group of retailers.
